PSC-IDPA Website Closing
The PSC-IDPA.com website is closing and all information is being transferred to the official PSC Shooting Club website. Currently, the match reports, scores and scenarios for 2011 have been transferred and prior years will move as well, but over the next several weeks.
The email list has been exported to the new site, but a test message has been sent on this system and the one to halp make sure no one is left behind.

Range Road & Speed Limit
The roadwork is finished and the new paved road is great. If we take care of it, it will last us for many years with minimal maintenance. Most people are honoring the speed limit, but unfortunately not everyone. Also, some people don't even slow down for the stop sign at the shotgun entrance, much less stop. These problems must stop immediately.
The speed limit and stop sign are considered part of the PSC Rules and violation of either could result in suspection or revocation of membership. Match Directors for all matches are notifying all of their non-members shooters are advised to follow the speed limit and honor the stop sign or they will not be allowed back onto PSC property.
We want to take care of the road, but preventing accidents is far more important. Please take these matters seriously, the Board certainly does!
May Match - Memorial Weekend
The May PSC-IDPA Match falls on Memorial Day weekend, so we are opened preregistration early as we did for Easter weekend. We had expected a lower turnout in April, but we still had 77 shooters. So far, it looks like the May match will be smaller than normal, but that could change as it did last month. We will be using Bay X this month, so we'll be running seven squads in seven bays.
To preregister for the match, just go to the PSC Shooting Club Event Registration page and select the May PSC-IDPA Match. Remember, we cannot accept special squad requests from people registering "at the door," or after 5:00pm on Friday, May 27th, as the squads are set Friday evening before the match.
On behalf of the entire PSC-IDPA crew, we hope to see you on Saturday, May 28th!

April Match - Easter Weekend
The April PSC-IDPA Match falls on Easter weekend, so we are opening preregistration immediately. We are also asking people to volunteer to SO the match so we can give our regulars some time off. They are getting overworked, plus staffing on Easter weekend may be a problem. If you can SO the April match, please send me an email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Match Reminder - March 2011
The March PSC-IDPA match will be held Saturday, March 26th at the PSC Shooting Club in Friendswood, TX.
Times:
Sign-in begins at 7:30, the New Shooters' Orientation begins at 8:00, and the match begins at 8:30, unless the SO's are still conducting their walk-through. Please plan to be at the range in time to sign-in and begin the match at 8:30. Once the squads make their first bay change, it will be too late to sign-in.
Pre-Registration:
If you know you are coming to the match, please pre-register by going to the Event Registration link on www.PSC-Range.com and select the February PSC-IDPA match. Then fill in the information and hit the "book" button. You will receive an automated email confirming your registration and you will be on the match roster. The score sheets and scoring labels will be prepared Friday evening before the match.
If you want to be squadded with someone, there is a place to note that on the Registration Form and we make every effort to honor those requests. Obviously, there are limits and the earlier you and the person you want to shoot with register, the more likely you will be squadded as requested. (We will always keep family members together.) We ask that you don't enter a name in the squad request blank simply because it is there, as the more people who make specific requests the harder it will be to honor those requests. Please reserve your squad requests for those occasions when it really matters to you. Also, if you are going to request special squadding, please make sure the person you want to shoot with has already registered or that they will do so close to the time you register.
In order for us to keep the squads balanced, we can only accept squad requests from people pre-registering, so please don't ask if you register at the match.
The new scheduled starting time is 8:30 am, with sign up beginning at 7:30 am. Whether we can do this will depend largely on how many of our shooters pre-register for the match.
Registration will close when the first squad has moved to its second bay/scenario.
Gate Code for Match:
If you are not a PSC member, then you will need to use the special match gate code 3025 to enter. (Push the "key" button twice, then enter 3025.) This code is only good from 7:00 am until 9:00 am. You can also reach my cell phone by dialing 002 from the gate keypad, if you arrive after 9:00 am.
SO's Needed:
We still need one SO, so if you can SO, please send an email to
